Viking’s own Fred Johnston has always had an interest in woodworking.

“I started when I was about 12 years old,” he said.

Johnston used wooden apple boxes for lumber, and built his own birdhouses growing up.

He recalled getting into fretwork next, but it was a difficult hobby to do in this area.
